As per the update, St Luke’s Primary School secured the 2023 National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools Boys Division One Championship in a penalty kicks shootout on Friday, 19th May 2023, in Benjamin Park.
Reportedly, it was a hard-fought victory as they came up against the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School on home turf. Both teams played to a goalless but hard-fought first half as the defences of both teams held Strong.
St Luke’s Primary School broke the deadlock in the II half with a Beautiful strike from their captain Carlique Prevost from long range; both teams created several other opportunities but failed to convert.
While sharing the update about the match, when it appeared that St Luke’s Primary would walk away with a one-nil victory with just one minute left, Roosevelt Douglas Primary School struck. It was Heart Break and a few tears for a few players of the St Luke’s Primary School as Ezekiel Brumant, who was a constant threat for the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School, found the back of the net with a long-range effort to equalize and send the match into 10 minutes extra time after ending one all in regulation time.
