Dominica: PM Skerrit welcomes St Vincent PM’s mother-in-law and wife to Nature Isle

Dominica: Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit met St Vincent Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves’ mother-in-law – Ursula Harris, on March 18, 2022 (Friday).

PM Skerrit also met the wife of St Vincent PM – Eloise Harris-Gonsalves, who accompanied her mom during this meeting.

Prime Minister Skerrit mentioned the meeting and stated, “This morning, I had a lovely visit with 93-year-old Mrs Ursula Harris, the mother in law of St. Vincent Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Ralph Gonsalves.

She was accompanied by her daughter Mrs Eloise Harris-Gonsalves, the wife of the Vincentian Prime Minister.”

He further mentioned, “I welcomed the two ladies home to Dominica and wished them a wonderful stay on the Nature Isle.”

PM Skerrit further shared a “Fun Fact” about the mother of PM of St Vincent and notified that Harris became “First Miss Dominica” in the year 1948.

“Fun Fact: Mrs Ursula Harris was the first Miss Dominica. She won the prestigious title in 1948,” Prime Minister Skerrit notified while praising her.

Many Caribbean residents praised PM Skerrit for this special gesture; one mentioned, “Very nice gesture PM. Happy and blessed bday Mrs Harris. It would have been nice to include the 1948 Queen pic,” yet another welcomed her and wrote, “Welcome Mrs Harris & Daughter glad to see with Our Best Prime minister Hon Roosevelt Sherrit in Dominica… Blessings to U Both.”
