Discover Dominica lauds Sanctuary Rainforest Eco Resort & Spa for changing definition of luxury

Roseau, Dominica: The Discover Dominica, Tourism Authority of the Commonwealth of Dominica, will be celebrating the month of May as ‘Tourism Awareness Month’. To mark this month, the ministry has informed us about the different sites, locations and businesses within the tourism sector which are contributing to the growth of the Nature Isle of the Caribbean – Dominica.

The social media update by the Tourism Authority of Dominica mentioned, “May is Dominica’s Tourism Awareness Month. In 2023, the tourism authorities of Dominica will be featuring different sites, locations and businesses within the tourism industry.”

The tourism authority further mentioned that the authority would also focus on how they are growing the experience at Nature Island in an eco-friendly, sustainable way!

In addition to this, the Tourism Authority introduced the new five-star and ultra-luxurious resort – Sanctuary Rainforest Eco Resort & Spa and told the general public that the doors of the resort would be super soon open for tourists and travellers.

The under-construction resort is nestled in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park. As per the government of Dominica, the ultra-luxurious hotel is being constructed in a way that will have limited negative impacts on the local environment and will contribute towards climate resiliency.

Further, it praised the resort for changing the definition of luxury in the nation. The Tourism Ministry also outlined that the Sanctuary Rainforest Eco Resort & Spa will feature resilient construction as well as design to withstand the diverse climate to sustainable practices, including LED lighting, along with maintaining natural forest areas.

In addition to all the details, the authority informed that earlier, the Discover Dominica Authority was hosted on a site visit and met with the owner, construction manager, and some staff.

The project was led by a team with a focus on improving the sustainable experience in the nation. It is on track to provide guests with an elevated experience without any environmental impact.
