Cuban Scholarships for 2024 Academic Year for students of St Kitts and Nevis

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the offer of scholarships for the 2024 academic year from the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in St Kitts and Nevis, according to the latest update by the Ministry.

The update further informed that the Ministry has the honour to inform that Cuba is offering 20 scholarships in the areas listed below:

Seven (7) – Medicine
Seven (7) – Bachelor of Nursing
Four (4) – Postgraduate Medicine
One (1) – Health Technology
One (1) Non-medical career

The Ministry also informed that there would be some eligibility criteria to attain the scholarship provided by the Cuban government.

Kindly note that only those individuals who graduated in Cuba are eligible to apply for the postgraduate degree, and those individuals who wish to apply for a bachelor’s degree must be under 25 years of age.

All applicants must present a copy of a degree or high school diploma, a copy of the transcript, a health certificate inclusive of a negative HIV test and a negative pregnancy test (females), ten 1×1 inch size photos, a police record, and a birth certificate.

These documents must be accompanied by a legalized Spanish copy.

Interested parties should be citizens of St Kitts and Nevis and must come from low-income families.

Please note that all documents are to be submitted to Jamilah Adams at Human Resources by 4th September 2023, the ministry stated.
