Cricket West Indies unveils squad competing for Round 1 of West Indies Championship

Cricket West Indies unveiled the 13-member squad of all the teams competing in Round 1 of the West Indies Championship. It is to be noted that the matches will commence on 7 February 2024 and will be played at different venues.

The West Indies Championship will include eight teams fighting to win Headley Weekes Trophy. The teams that will be competing for the trophy include Barbados Pride, Combined Campuses and Colleges, Guyana Harpy Eagles, Jamaica Scorpions, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, West Indies Academy and Windward Volcanoes.

This championship is a great opportunity for all the players to showcase their potential and talent. It also helps them to enhance their strengths and overcome their weaknesses.

The 13-member squad selected by Barbados Pride

Kraigg Brathwaite has been selected as the captain of the team, and the other members selected for the tournament, including Shaquille Cumberbatch, Shane Dowrich, Jonathan Drakes, Chaim-Alexis Holder, Chemar Holder, Akeem Jordan, Jair McAllister, Zachary McCaskie, Shayne Moseley, Roshon Primus, Jomel Warrican and Kevin Wickham. 

The 13-member squad selected by Combined Campuses and Colleges

Jonathan Carter has been named as the captain of the team. The other members selected in the squad include Jediah Blades, Shamarh Brooks, Govasta Edmond, Damel Evelyn, Romario Greaves, Sion Hackett, Sadique Henry, Kirstan Kallicharan, Zishan Motara, Shaqkere Parris, Shatrughan Rambaran and Demario Richards. 

The 13-member squad selected by Guyana Harpy Eagles 

Kevlon Anderson has been named the captain of the team. The other members include Ronaldo Ali Mohamed, Antony Adams, Ronsford Beaton, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Richie Looknauth, Matthew Nandu, Raymond Perez, Veerasammy Permaul, Neiland Cadogan, Kevin Sinclair, Kemol Savory and Steven Sankar. 

The 13-member squad selected by Jamaica Scorpions

Jermaine Blackwood has been announced as the captain of the team. The other players selected in the squad include Nkrumah Bonner, Carlos Brown, Gordon Bryan, Derval Green, Ramaal Lewis, Abhijai Mansingh, Kirk McKenzie, Marquino Mindley, Romaine Morris, Jeavor Royal, Peat Salmon and Chadwick Walton. 

The 13-member squad selected by Leeward Island Hurricanes

Rakheem Cornwall will be leading the team. The other members selected in the squad include Colin Archibald, Sheno Berridge, Daniel Doram, Karima Gore, Joshua Grant, Jahmar Hamilton, Kofi James, Jeremiah Louis, Mikyle Louis, Ross Powell, Javier Spencer and Terance Warde. 

The 13-member selected by Trinidad and Tobago Red Force

The captain of the team selected by the team is Joshua Da Silva. The other members selected in the team include Bryan Charles, Cephas Cooper, Jyd Goolie, Terrance Hinds, Amir Jangoo, Imran Khan, Vikash Mohan, Jason Mohammed, Anderson Phillip, Khary Pierre, Jayden Seales and Tion Webster. 

The 13-member squad selected by West Indies Academy 

Nyeem Young has been named as the captain of the team. The other members selected in the squad include Ackeem Auguste, Kadeem Alleyne, Joshua Bishop, Carlon Bowen-Tuckett, Rivaldo Clarke, Mbeki Joseph, Joshua James, Kelvin Pitman, Rashawn Worrell, Ramon Simmonds, Ashmead Nedd and Johann Layne.

The 13-member squad selected by Windward Volcanoes

Kimani Melius has been named as the captain of the team. The other members selected in the squad included Sunil Ambris, Keron Cottoy, Darel Cyrus, Shadrack Descarte, Kenneth Dember, Johann Jeremiah, Ryan John, Shermon Lewis, Daurius Martin, Jeremy Solozano, Shamar Springer and Tevyn Walcott.
