St Kitts and Nevis: Kittitian Mikyle Louis scored a half-century against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at his home ground and played a powerful knock of 63 runs off 36 deliveries. He played for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the last CPL game at Warner Park on Sunday morning and has been lauded for his performance.
While playing for the strike rate of 175.00, he was chaired by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew who arrived at the stadium wearing jersey of the team. However, the team did not manage to convert his performance into the result as they lost their last match on home soil by 2 wickets.
During his batting, he hit two fours and seven sixes to secure his half-century for the team and showcased his brilliance in his cricketing skills. However, SKN Patriots lost their fifth match in a row after playing the sixth match of the team in the ongoing 2024 Caribbean Premier League.
As per the cricket experts, if he was not taken down by Mohammad Amir of Falcons, then the score would have touched the 200 mark that could be tougher for the latter to chase. PM Terrance Drew lauded his performance and said that he will always remain great inspiration for the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
Warner Park was scheduled to host five matches for the CPL 2024 and now, the country has completed the staging. With the defeat, SKN Patriots stood at the bottom of the points table, while Falcons have reached at the third position with its second straight victory in the tournament.
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots kickstarted this year’s CPL tournament at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in which the latter secured victory. However, the victory was the first and last for the team in 2024 campaign as they lost five matches right after that.
