COVID takes 6 more lives in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago island reported 272 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 16 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections rise to 3,932.
In comparison, a total of 42,596 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 virus.
In total, around 273 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 6 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,397 on the Caribbean island as of 16 September 2021.
As per to the report, there are a total of 72 patients are in the step-down facilities, about 131 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 3,3159 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
So far, as of 16 September 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 553,390 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 456,483 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 47, 925 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 332,771 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 144,041 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
