St Lucian govt announces new COVID-19 travel protocols for int’l travellers

Trinidad and Tobago: As per 10 February 2022, the nation reported around 738 positive cases, taking the number of total positive cases for the virus to 118,263.

The samples of the test were taken between 5 February and 9 February, 2022. As many as 591,666 people have undergone testing. Of the total, 265,203 tested were done at private facilities and 326,463 were done at public facilities.

During the same period, six people lost their lives due to the virus, of these two had multiple cormobidities, three had one comorbidity and one had no known medical history. Total number of deaths reported in the country are 3,501; of these 224 were fully vaccinated and 2,887 were not vaccinated.

To date, 93,717 patients have been recovered from the virus. 35 persons have been discharged from public health facilities and 647 recoveries have been reported from community cases.

As per the statics by the government, total 439 people are in the hospital, of which 360 people are in the public facility and 79 people are in step-down or transition facilities. Whereas, 19,868 people are home isolated.

The total number of active cases in Trinidad and Tobago are 21,045.

The vaccination status in the country is 49.8 percent. 703,292 people have received first jab of vaccine against COVID-19 and 696,708 people have completed their vaccination regime. As many as 118,727 Trinidad and Tobago’s citizens have taken the booster dose.
