Caribbean: Taking a step towards a touchless experience, Caribbean airlines launched digital health passport to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic more effectively while offering better customer services.
Customers who download the Ink Mobile App (Tento Wallet) via Apple App or Google play store, can have their COVID-19 test results securely uploaded directly from the labs, for presentation at the airport when checking in.
The app will act as a digital health passport, and Caribbean airlines will verify test results via the QR code from the Inc mobile app downloaded on customers’ smartphones, providing a touch-less experience for travellers.
Recently, Caribbean airlines, in partnership with Inc aviation, launched a service where customers can book a COVID-19 test with accredited institutions, via Caribbean airlines’ website. The digital health passport is an added benefit to the service. Once the mobile app is downloaded on customers’ smartphones, the selected testing lab can send results directly to the app.
Customers can book a test appointment via Caribbean airlines.health.ink by putting their booking reference code, and a list of approved testing labs along with available appointment dates and times will appear for selection. Persons are advised to choose appointment dates that align with the specific entry protocols for the destination to which they are travelling.for example, some countries require the PCR test to be done within 72 hours of travel while other except PCR test done within seven days of travel.
