Caribbean Airlines cancel flight operations to/from Orlando due to Hurricane Milton
Caribbean Airlines have extended prayers for the people of Florida and have urged them to follow all the precautionary measures in order to prevent themselves from the devastating effects of Hurricane Milton.

Caribbean Airlines cancelled its flight operations on Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 to Orlando due to the closure of Orlando International Airport (MCO) following Hurricane Milton. The passengers whose flight services has been disrupted have been advised to rebook their flight without any change in fees.
As per the details unveiled by the Caribbean Airlines, the flights whose operations have been affected are BW 482, providing services on the route from Trinidad to Orlando and BW 483, operating from Orlando to Trinidad.
Moreover, the passengers whose travel plans have been impacted by these flight disruptions have been asked to rebook their flights without any change in fees. However, they have to follow certain conditions in order to avail these benefits. The conditions include:
- Waiver of all fees for tickets to be rebooked in the same cabin.
- Passengers can rebook on any service up to 25th October 2024 without any penalty.
The authorities have also asked that all the changes are required to be made through Caribbean Airlines Call Centre or at a Caribbean Airlines ticket office. Along with that, the travellers have also been asked to register for real-time flight notification or they can get updates via www.caribbean-airlines.com as well.
According to the Meteorological Services, the Hurricane Milton has quickly intensified into a Category 5 storm, prompting mass evacuations along Florida’s Gulf Coast. As per the details, the Milton is forecasted to move near or north of the Yucatan Peninsula which is expected to cross the eastern Gulf of Mexico and approach the west coast of the Florida Peninsula.
The authorities are calling it one of the “most destructive” hurricanes to strike west-central Fla on record. Therefore, ensuring the safety and security of all the travellers and passengers, the Caribbean Airlines have decided to cancel flight operations from/to Orlando.
