On the other hand, the Secretary of State declared the launch of the Canadian-drafted Declaration against the use of Arbitrary Detention in State-to-State Relations.
Arbitrary arrest and arbitrary detentions are the arrest or detainment of a person in a case where there is no proof or evidence that they committed an unlawful act against a lawful statute or in which there has been no proper due procedure of law or order.
Antony J Blinken, Secretary Of State, announced that he congratulated Canada on having led the way, especially for receiving so many nationscountries’ endorsement.
Arbitrary detentions are forbidden under international human rights conventions. When they are used, as too many countries do, to try to obtain an advantage in state-to-state associations, they are a heinous act against the human rights of the people in question. They are an indignity to international diplomatic measures.
The broad coalition of administration endorsing this announcement sends a clear moral that the past remains on the part of human rights and the rule of law, not the sarcastic use of law as a political tool. Living beings are not agreement chips.
This announcement actually a sense of relief, but it can also be violated by some criminal minds who can manipulate the laws for their means.
This world is no longer secure for all as there is a violation of democracy in one place and a violation of people in another.
