The four vaccines against COVID-19 provided by the Barbadian Government are – AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Johnson & Johnson. As per the government, these will be available at the polyclinics and vaccination centres at the scheduled times only.
The unit has announced that the residents interested in administering the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine must bring their identification cards. On the contrary, the residents should walk in with a blue vaccination card if interested in a second dose.
The booster doses have been available for only three vaccines in Barbados – AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinopharm. Citizens can have a booster dose after six months of their second injection. Booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine have been available for students aged 12 years and more.
As per the immunization unit’s notification, people receiving the booster may present either their blue vaccination card or vaccination certificate and valid photo identification.
These vaccination card notifications are same for the overseas travellers.
