Bahamas: When a leader appreciates their several organisations, it boosts people to do more. Along with that, Prime Minister Minnis also extends his warm wishes of New Year to the citizens of Bahamas.

Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas Hubert Minnis announced, “The past year was filled with many difficult days and challenges. But amidst the heartbreaks and sometimes brokenness, Bahamians worked together to save and to protect life, to care for another, and to bind up and help heal the wounds and scars of the year.”

“It is this same powerful spirit of togetherness, unity of purpose and love of family, neighbour, friends and country that will make 2021 a better, more prosperous, and blessed and bountiful New Year,” he added.

PM visited organisations:
Prime Minister Minnis also visited several police stations including Central Police Station, Paradise Island, Elizabeth, Fox Hill and CDU. He reminded officers that curfew remains at 10 PM and that only church services are allowed after the curfew. PM also went to government health clinics, thank health care workers for all of their hard work throughout the pandemic, and encouraged them for the New Year. The clinics included: Fleming Street Clinic, Anne’s Town Clinic, Elizabeth Estates Clinic, South Beach Clinic, Flamingo Gardens Clinic and Gambier Clinic. He also spoke to the permanent nurses about their overtime payment for services during Hurricane Dorian and the COVID-19 Pandemic.
