Anea Clement to represent Grenada in upcoming World Boccia Technical Training Camp

The Paralympian, Anea Clement of Grenada is all set to participate in the upcoming World Boccia Technical Training Camp. This camp has been scheduled to take place in Cali, Colombia from Sunday, 29th September to Thursday, 3rd October, 2024, enhancing the skills and techniques of all the participants.
This camp is a huge opportunity for all the athletes and coaches from around the globe to gain insights to valuable training, networking, and competitive opportunities that will later play a huge role in fostering their performance on an international platform.
Anea Clement will be accompanied by her coach, Glen Alexander and mother, Cassandra Clement, as part of her Assistant team in her visit to Colombia. All the three members will depart for Colombia on Saturday, 28th September, 2024.
Boccia is a precision ball sport that tests the physical and mental capabilities of athletes. In this sport, a player in seated position propels balls to land as close as possible to a white marker ball, known as the Jack. The two sides compete as individuals, pairs or as a team of three over a set number of ends.
The participation by Anea Clement marks a significant step in the development of the sport on the island nation. Her participation in the Camp would play a huge role in helping her learn new techniques and skills which will later benefit her in future.
Moreover, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Grenada commanded the Government, World Boccia, Grenada National Council for People with Disability and Grenada Paralympic Committee for making this trip possible.
They also extended best wises to Anea Clement, her coach, Glen Alexander, and her mother, Cassandra Clement for a safe and successful journey. They also appreciated them in representing the country with utmost pride.
World Boccia is a non-profit organization and public-facing brand for the Boccia International Sports Federation (BISFed) which is responsible for governing the sport of Boccia across the globe.
In this training camp, the organizers conduct training sessions, master classes, training seminars with professional trainers, highly qualified teachers and the best players from around the world. The regular lessons in World Boccia Technical Training Camp plays a huge role in developing dexterity, accuracy, endurance, coordination of movements, and also helps to think tactically.
