Jamaica: Air Canada is all set to launch additional flights to Jamaica, making it a total of 14 weekly flights to the island for the upcoming 2024-2025 winter season. These services are aimed at increasing air access for tourists looking to travel during the usually busy season.
This was revealed by the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Air Canada Vacations, Hugo Coulombe during a recent event held in Jamaica.
Coulombe stated that the airline will be flying thrice a week from Montreal, Canada to Montego Bay, Jamaica; seven times a week from Toronto to Montego Bay as well as four times a week from Toronto to Kingston.
He emphasised that Canada is the island’s 2nd biggest source market with the United States being the first and added that Jamaica has always been a preferred destination for visitors from North America.
The Vice President noted that Air Canada Vacations has been in business in Jamaica for over 40 years now and this is without counting the 75 years that the air carrier has been flying to the island.
According to him, the winter tourist season which usually begins on December 15 and continues until April 2025 will be boosted by more nonstop flights coming from Canada into Jamaica.
Not only this, but he also reassured that the challenges linked with airlift have been largely addressed by the carrier and outlined that the team continues to work with all the partners, as is evident with the continued support for this prestigious golf tournament which has been going on now for 28 years and continues to grow.
The fares for these flights will range between $688 to $742, with the passengers having the opportunity to choose between their desired dates and travel to the island nation for a vacation of lifetime.
Individuals can explore the most authentic spots of this amazing island and let themselves be surprised by its mouthwatering cuisine, enchanting rhythms and spectacular landscapes, making it the perfect vacation destination for family, friends and couples alike.
