Agri-Christmas Night Market turns out great success
The Agri-Christmas Night Market held on Thursday (December 21) at Basseterre Public Market marks a huge success.

St Kitts and Nevis: The Agri-Christmas Night Market held in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives and Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship on Thursday (December 21) at Basseterre Public Market on its competition marks a huge success.
The market provided a great opportunity to showcase the products by allowing farmers, vendors, and Agri-producers to reveal the agricultural produce to a larger potential customer base. As the timings for the Agri Christmas Night Market were 5 pm to 10 pm, all the farmers were available till that time.
Various items showcasing cultural presentations were placed with the purpose of selling to the citizens. Farmers from Helen Daughters, Nevis Abattoir, Cleo (the Black Pudding lady) promoted the local food at the event.
Probing ahead, Cleo, the black Pudding lady, featured all the love by selling Black Pudding, Cook up, Goat water, Fry fish, Saltfish, Corn and Dry food for all the Black pudding lovers. The ministry even shared a glance on social media of black pudding which looked so tempting that one of the viewers even mentioned, “My mouth is running water for a taste of that, Wish I was in St Kitts to have some.”
Interestingly, like every year, Nevis Abattoir once again stole the show by bringing quality meat products to the market. The highlights of these products included Smoked Chicken, Rotisserie chicken, Diced Pork, Pork Chops, Spicy Italian Sausage and many more.
Moreover, many other items like fresh local fish, vegetables, fruits, Grilled Lobster, fruit cakes, fruit cake mix and a lot more.
This is not the limit as the event had all the fun elements in it as well. There were two competitions held: the Watermelon Eating Competition and the Egg Eating Contest. Also, the entertainment boosted the excitement level of the visitors as musical performances by Dj Sugar Bowl, and Reigning Road March Champs: The Grand Masters Band played the biggest role in providing joy.
And, the performances by St Peters Actors and Monkey Hill Bull troupe as well added the spicy magic of fun, magic and festivities to the Agri-Christmas Night Market.
