St Kitts and Nevis: Ivor Walters Primary School conducted the Sports Day on March 11, 2022 (Friday). Many students participated in the events hosted by the school authorities. This sports meet was a part of the initiative by the government to host the “Mini Olympic” in St Kitts and Nevis.

Premier of Nevis & the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation of St Kitts and Nevis – Mark Brantley notified that he is delighted to attend the sports day of the Ivor Walters Primary School on Wednesday. He further expressed the joy to see people enjoying the track events.

Earlier, the government announced that Nevis’s private and public schools would commence the preparation for the annual Inter-Primary School Championship.

The individual sports meet in the schools has commenced from early March.

At that time, Brantley stated that the government of St Kitts and Nevis had been planning to host mini-Olympics in April 2022. St Kitts and Nevis will witness the track event after a break of two –years because of the COVID-19 restrictions.

The minister was quoted, “The Premier of Nevis stated, “The government has been planning for the organisation of the Inter-Primary School Championship in 2022. It is a staple for Nevisian life, and it is time to resume it.”

This week was full of events for the students of the Ivor Walters Primary School. On Monday, the school conducted a “PEP Rally,” on Tuesday “, Colour Day” was celebrated; on the next day, the school marked “Wacky Day”, and on Thursday, it celebrated “T-shirt Day.” It was a spirit week, stated the school authorities.
