St Kitts and Nevis: The island country of St Kitts and Nevis has reported a total of 46 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of the active cases to 318, as of 24 August 2021.

With the arrival of new infections, till now, the confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 929. Out of the total confirmed cases, St Kitts and Nevis have a total of 842 confirmed cases of the contagious COVID-19 virus, while Nevis island has 87 confirmed cases of the mutant.

Till 24 August 2021, there are three individuals who lost their lives to the contagious COVID-19 pandemic, while in total, 608 individuals have been recovered from the deadly virus. Till now, out of the total COVID-19 test conducted, 29,044 people have tested negative for the mutant.

According to the statistics, globally, there are a total of 212,357,898 confirmed cases of the deadly mutant, whereas 191,480,844 patients have recovered from the mutant. Worldwide, 4,439,843 people scummed to COVID-19.

The Health Ministry has further informed in the COVID-19 vaccination report, 63.3 per cent of the individuals, that is 20,908, have received their second dose of mutant and are fully vaccinated now.

Whereas in total, 73.2 per cent of the population has received their first jab of the coronavirus vaccine, with this, the island country is near to achieve its herd immunity target to inoculate its citizens.

As per the report, 45,097 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on the twin islands, out of which 10,507 were administered on Nevis, and 34,590 were on St Kitts.

SKN government has also provided COVID-19 hotline numbers at – (869) 467-1146/1233 (St Kitts), (869) 469-5521, 2035/2051/(869) 469 -8010 (Nevis island).

Prime Minister Timothy Harris has also urged the citizens to take their COVID-19 jabs as soon as possible so as to fight and win the battle over contagious mutants.
