217 individuals tested positive for COVID in Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 217 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 9 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 217 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 9 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,300. In contrast, a total of 46,640 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 270 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 4 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,540 on the Caribbean island as of 9 October 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 50 patients in the step-down facilities, about 108 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 3,763 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 52,480 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 360,283 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 152,796 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
As of 9 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 595,269 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 543,262 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
