119 new individuals tested positive for COVID in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 119 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 11 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,301. In contrast, a total of 46,991 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.

In total, around 271 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of four new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,555 on the Caribbean island as of 11 October 2021.

As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 49 patients in the step-down facilities, about 79 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.

A total of 3862 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.

According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 52,847 confirmed cases of the virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 369,782 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 152,796 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.

As of 7 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 597,951 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 547,884 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
