Wanted man of Guyana stabbed to death

William Hendricks was stabbed to death at Eruma Backdam, Two Point Landing, Cuyuni River, in region 7, Guyana, on Thursday, 23rd November 2023.

As per the information, Dave Hamilton, a 37-year-old who is an employee at Hopkinson Security Company, called the Bartica Police Station through his cellular phone. He stated that around 17:15 hours, he was performing his duty when he received the information that William Hendricks was stabbed to death.

It was also mentioned by him, that William Hendricks is wanted by Police officials for questioning in his connection with armed robbery, possession of firearms and the possession of narcotic substances.

Dave Hamilton added that, the wanted man was lying motionless on the trail, with stabbed wounds all over his body.

As soon as the officials received the news, they responded to the matter immediately and went to the crime spot. The dead body of the wanted man was observed by the officials and they took several photographs for the investigation.

Notably, detectives have also been dispatched to the crime spot to conduct an investigation into the matter.

According to the source, a Police Wanted Bulletin was also issued in early October for William Hendricks for his offences of:

–         Possession of Firearms

–         Armed robbery

–         Possession of narcotics.

Moreover, incidents of murders are rapidly increasing in Guyana as just a few days back; a case was registered where three persons were apprehended for the accountant’s murder.

The accountant has been identified as Chooromantie Tulsie, a 38-year-old who is also known as Anita, a resident of Lot 16 Unity, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. This incident occurred between Tuesday night and early morning of Wednesday.

As per the sources, Tulsie was an accountant at Camp Street, Georgetown. Tulsie was a single mother who did everything possible to play both a mother and father to her only child.

As per the information, when Tulsie failed to show up at her sister-in-law, Cavita Jagarnauth’s house, to drop off her son. Her sister-in-law tried many cell phones to Tulsie but got no answers, which resulted in Jagarnauth leaving her house and going to Tulsie’s place.

When Tulsie’s sister-in-law went to her house, she saw her 5-year-old child, who was peeking through the front bedroom window, crying.

Jagarnauth, along with the neighbours, managed to break the lock of the door and saw Tulsi’s body lying in a pool of blood. Tulsi’s mouth was gagged with a piece of cloth and the upper part of the body was covered with a towel.

As per the police officials, thus, such increasing rate of crimes have become a threat to the safety of the citizens.
