TTMS shares fair weather with isolated showers for western Trinidad 

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) shared the weather conditions for Trinidad, Tobago, and The Remainder of the Lesser Antilles, stating that people may witness fair and sunny weather.

It is to be noted that there are chances of the isolated afternoon shower favouring western Trinidad.

As per TTMS, seas are forecasted to remain slightly moderate.

Waves Forecast

Waves in open waters could exceed 1.0m – 1.2m, and they could be less than 1.0m in sheltered or covered areas.

Air quality

The air quality is generally acceptable for the majority of people; however, the sensitive groups may face minor to moderate symptoms from long-term exposure.

Notably, there is no high chance of isolated thunderstorms in either the shelter or non-sheltered areas.

Notably, tides were issued at 4:00 pm Thursday, December 28, and are valid for Friday, December 29, 2023.

Additionally, people experienced isolated afternoon showers across west-central Trinidad, which produced between 0.5 and 3 inches (12.5- 75 mm) of rainfall on Thursday.

Street flooding was witnessed in parts of Charlieville, Endeavour and northern areas of Chaguanas. As a result, the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service conducted a high-water rescue in Chaguanas (at Eleanor Road and Market Street) following flash and street floods due to heavy afternoon showers.

Moreover, the 2024 dry season accumulated rainfall totals for Trinidad and Tobago, which are likely to be the highest in northern and eastern areas in the vicinity of regions across T&T.

The lowest dry season accumulated rainfall totals are likely in the northwestern parts of Trinidad.
