St Kitts and Nevis: A day filled with entertainment, local food and beverages and cultural performances is set to offer people with a complete Kittitian experience on January 30, 2024 at National Museum Apron, Port Zante. The date “January 30” holds a special significance in St Kitts as the world’s largest cruise ship “Icon of the Seas” will grace the country’s shores.
To grab the Kittitian Heartbeat, a social media handle promoting the St. Kitts tourism industry has invited the populace to join “A Taste of St. Kitts.” The day will deliver the essence of all the local culture through cuisines, rhythmic beats and cultural displays.
Probing ahead, the Icon of the Seas has a capacity of over 8000 passengers, which is a significant count. And, the passengers will be offered great fun at the stops like St Kitts. Also, when considering the ship itself, it has 20 decks, a water park and areas dedicated to families, pool decks, dining experiences and more.
The arrival of the ship will encourage tourism in the country. An inaugural call by such a cruise itself is the epitome of the statement mentioned. However, along with it, two other cruises Aida Luna and Club Med 2 as well will dock in the region on the same day.
This will further boost the country’s economy in 2024, as the major portion of the economy is contributed by the tourism sector.
Aligning to it, three other cruise ships that are Seabourn Ovation, Enchanted Princess and Aida Diva will also mark an arrival on January 31, 2024. Moreover, many others in the coming month (February) will give a call.
Two cruise ships, Wind Surf and Sea Cloud 2, will dock in the first week of February and enhance the beauty of the shores.
