TT reports 382 new COVID cases, 33 recoveries

Trinidad and Tobago: As per 13 February 2022, the nation reported around 382 positive cases, taking the number of total positive cases for the virus to 120,385.

The samples of the test were taken between 7 February and 12 February, 2022. As many as 594,948 people have undergone testing. Of the total, 265,203 tested were done at private facilities and 326,745 were done at public facilities.

During the same period, seven people lost their lives due to the virus, of these three were ederly males, one elderly female and three were middle aged. Of died, four had multiple cormobidities, one had one comorbidity and two had no known medical history.

Total number of deaths reported in the country is at 3,526.

To date, 95,368 patients have been recovered from the virus. 33 persons have been discharged from public health facilities and 314 recoveries have been reported from community cases.

As per the statics by the government, total 420 people are in the hospital, of which 347 people are in the public facility and 73 people are in step-down or transition facilities, whereas, 20,689 people are home isolated.

The total number of active cases in Trinidad and Tobago is as many as 21,491.

The vaccination status in the country is 49.9 percent. 702,236 people have received first jab of vaccine against COVID-19 and 696,764 people have completed their vaccination regime. As many as 121,860 Trinidad and Tobago’s citizens have taken the booster dose.
