Trinidad and Tobago police nabs three people and seized firearms and ammunition

The authorities of the North Central Division, has arrested three nationals of Trinidad and Tobago, with seizure of firearms, ammunition and illegal narcotics.

The authorities of the North Central Division, has arrested three nationals of Trinidad and Tobago, with seizure of firearms, ammunition and illegal narcotics. It is to be noted that, the arrest came amid the exercise conducted by the authorities of North Central Division.

Notably, the officers conducted an intelligence-led operation between 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday in the Arouca district. The officials headed towards the field area at Honeycreeper Drive, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, where they observed a large group of people gathered.

The people gathered the fled from the spot as soon as they saw the officers and escaped. Few people ran away on the northern side of the open field, while a few on the southern side jumped in and out of neighbouring yards.

Moreover, the authorities conducted an enquiry and learnt the reason behind the gathering of people, as a music video was being recorded at the location. The police personnel investigated an area of the open field, and on searching, they found a large quantity of contraband, lighters, marijuana and a tracking vehicle, which appeared to be a tracker.

It is to be noted that authorities apprehended one man and are now helping the police personnel with the investigation work.

Furthermore, PC Slack later found a bag. The bag contained a rifle outfitted with a magazine and 13 rounds of ammunition. A search of the suspect was also conducted by the officers, and they found a quantity of cocaine from him. He was later arrested by the officers. The suspect was then taken to the Arouca Police Station for further investigations.

The officers moved towards Deosaran Street and arrested a 46-year-old man for the offence of robbery. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Further, one more case was observed in Trinidad and Tobago, as the officials of the Central Division arrested two suspects for the offence of robbery and seized a Firearm and several rounds of ammunition.

Such arrests of the suspects signify how diligently the authorities of Trinidad and Tobago are performing their duties and they are trying their best to curb the crime rates.
