Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Ministry of Health – Trinidad and Tobago has recently shared a Specific Procurement Notice: Procurement of Training Models for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology.
The update by the ministry noted that this Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue no, IDB36-01/January 15 January 13, 2015.
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT) has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (DB) toward the cost of the Health Services Support Program (HSSP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Procurement of Training Models for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement of Training Models for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology.
It further stated that bidding will be conducted via the National Competitive Bidding Procedures as specified in the IDB’s Policies for Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN 2349-15, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies which can be found at website: https://projectprocurement.lndb.org/en.
Bidding documents may be requested electronically from the Procurement and Contract Management Specialist, Project Implementation Unit-HSSP (PIU-HSSP), Ministry of Health via procurement.hesptt/1039@health.gov.tt.

It also informed that the hard copies of the original bid, with two (2) copies and a non-editable digital copy on a flash drive must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked:- “Procurement of Training Models for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology IDB Loan# 3411/OC-TT”

Ministry also stated that the envelopes must be deposited in the Tenders Box located in the lobby (Ground Floor), of the Ministry of Health Head Office no later than 1:00 pm. (local time) on May 10, 2023. Bids will be opened shortly thereafter at Address 1 above and bidders or their authorized representatives will be allowed to be present Bidders should note that the dimensions of the slot in the Tenders Box are 16″ L x 6 H and as such, documents should be packaged accordingly Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
The Ministry of Health does not bind itself to accept any Bid and reserves the right to cancel this process in its entirety or partially, without defraying any cost incurred by any firm in submitting its bid. Late bids will not be considered, announced health ministry of Trinidad and Tobago.
