Top-performing travel agents visits Barbados, explore unparalleled beauty

                                                    The top-performing travel agents from Latin America went on a trip to Barbados to enjoy the diverse offerings of the island nation. This trip was hosted by BTMI-LATAM team in collaboration with Copa Airlines in order to provide the agents with a memorable getaway.
These agents represent several leading agencies including, Ovaterra, Despegar, Nuevo Mundo, and Teresa Perez. All the attendees visited a diverse range of properties along the west and south coasts of Barbados under the leadership of Kyle Gittens, Senior Business Development Officer for Latin America at BTMI, and with support from Catherine Lira, Regional Sales Manager at Copa Airlines.
All these agents participated in several local activities, enjoyed the delicacies made of local flavours and ingredients and much more. They also held several discussions with the local stakeholders with a vision to deepen their understanding of what Barbados has to offer as a tourism destination.
These agents also visited Rihanna Drive and appreciated the natural beauty of the country. By the end of the trip, the agents expressed their appreciation on the offerings of the island nation and stated that they are all set to recommend the country to their clients.
This visit by the agents to the island nation promises a huge recognition to the tourism sector of the country. This acknowledgement by such renowned travel agents will later play a huge role in attracting large number of tourists to the island nation, foster economic growth.
Moreover, Barbados Tourism Marketing has been undertaking several measures with a vision to elevate the tourism sector of the country to greater heights. And, for the same, BTMI has planned to host exciting lineup of activities to celebrate Tourism Week 2024, aiming to attract large number of tourists to the country.
The Tourism Week 2024 will be conducted under the theme ““Tourism and Peace,” in order to recognize the fundamental economic and sociocultural importance of the sector. The Tourism Week will be celebrated from from 22nd to 28th September 2024 in order to offer plethora of experiences.
After that, Barbados will celebrate its ultimate foodie dream weekend, Barbados Food and Rum Festival, effective from 24th October and will continue till 27th October 2024. This festival is a mecca for foodies all over the world, where island nation celebrates its finest culinary talent.
The tourism authority is hoping to attract double the number of visitors welcomed in 2023, and has ensured to maximize the fun and enjoyment this year.
