Texila America University holds 10th convocation ceremony on May 13
Guyana: The Texila American University held its 10th Convocation Ceremony which saw a total of 62 students on May 13, 2022 (Friday).

                                                    Guyana: The Texila American University held its 10th Convocation Ceremony which saw a total of 62 students who successfully satisfied the requirements of the Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor and Master of Public Health, Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degrees on May 13, 2022 (Friday).
Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony delivered the feature address and extended congratulatory greetings to the graduating class, while encouraging them to take pride in their individual journeys.
Additionally, Minister Anthony also informed those gathered of the endless opportunities that are presently available within the health sector and highlighted future possibilities in various fields for persons with the required qualifications.
In closing, Dr Anthony expressed his gratitude to the graduating class in advance for their contributions towards Guyana’s healthcare sector.
Present at the convocation ceremony were, Chancellor Saju Bhaskar; Assistant Registrar Mary Josephine, Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr Dheeraj Bansal and a host of other dignitaries.
Earlier, On May 12th, the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), hosted a celebratory reception in observance of International Nurses Day 2022, to honour all the nurses of the institution.
In his brief remarks, Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, expressed his appreciation for the daily contributions of nurses and encouraged them to take pride in this noble profession as they impact the lives of those they care for.
Also present at the reception, were the acting Chief Executive Officer of the hospital; Robbie Rambarran, Dr Fawcett Jeffrey, Assistant Directors of Nursing; Leslyn Holder and Shivanie Ramdihol, along with other officials.
