Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition in Dominica

Three matches were conducted in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition in Dominica on Wednesday, 15th November 2023.

In the Under 15 category, Division Dominica Grammar School played against the Goodwill Secondary School at Stock Farm. The Division Dominica Grammar School won by six goals against Goodwill Secondary School. None of the players from Goodwill Secondary School were able to score a goal.

The goal scorer from Dominica Grammar School includes:

– Kerjuan Harris

– Carlique Prevost

– Micah Ettiene

– Kwante Jno Baptiste

– Dwight Walsh

Notably, above mentioned players scored one goal each, while an own goal was scored by a GSS player for Dominica Grammar School.

The next match was held between Division Saint Mary’s Academy and the Castle Bruce Secondary School in the under-17 category. The match was won by Division Saint Mary, who defeated Castle Bruce Secondary School by two goals in Newtown. The final score of both teams was 4-2.

Division Saint Mary’s Academy maintained its record of giving its 100% and consistency.

The goal scorer from Division Saint Mary’s Academy, namely:

– Shermon Elvon John he scored a hattrick, scoring three goals

– Jervonni Dagallerie scored 1 goal for their team.

The players who scored goals for Castle Bruce Secondary School included:

– DeAndre Francis

– Turrie Christmas

They both scored one goal each for their team.

The third match of the day was conducted between Division Portsmouth Secondary School and Isaiah Thomas Secondary School at Portsmouth. Division Portsmouth Secondary School defeated Isaiah Thomas Secondary School by 1 goal. The final score of both teams was 3-2.

The players who scored a goal for Division Portsmouth Secondary School namely:

– Je’ dyan Lockhart scored 2 goals

– Marlick Daniel scored 1 goal for their team.

The goal scorer from Isaiah Thomas Secondary School was:

– Terkwante Woodman, he scored both goals for ITSS.

Moreover, a few days back, five games were played in which the Goodwill Secondary School emerged victorious from the ORION Academy with a score of 15-0, where the highest goal scorer was Josimar Gustave, who scored six goals.

In the Under 15 division, Saint Mary’s Academy won the game by Isaiah Thomas Secondary School by two goals.

The third game was played between Division Academix and Isaiah Thomas Secondary School in the Under 20 category. The game was won by Division Academix with a score of 3-1.

In the Under 15 division, the Portsmouth Secondary School defeated the North East Comprehensive School by 6-0.

The final match of that day was played between Portsmouth Secondary School and North East Comprehensive School. That match ended prematurely in the second half due to the player’s sudden leg injury at North East Comprehensive School.

At that time, Portsmouth Secondary School was leading with a score of 3-1.
