Saint Lucia: Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire, other govt organisations wish people on New Year
Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister and the Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Minister Ernest Hilaire took his social media and extended warm wishes on the occasion of New Year on January 1, 2023.

Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister and the Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Minister Ernest Hilaire took his social media and extended warm wishes on the occasion of New Year on January 1, 2023. While wishing the people, Hilaire noted, “As we go into the New Year, I want to wish all Saint Lucians and my constituents of Castries South a prosperous New Year.”
Furthermore, he stated, “Let us continue building on our successes of 2022 and ensure that we continue to develop our sweet island home. Happy New Year!” He also wished the residents and citizens of his constituency – South Castries.
Ernest Hilaire also hoped the country would see growth, advancement and development during the upcoming year.
Along with the Tourism Minister, Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority – Slaspa also wished the general public on this special occasion and said, “The Council, Management and Staff would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable new year!”
Additionally, Saint Lucia Fire Service also took social media and wished the people as well as diaspora. The post by the service read, “Happy New Year from the management as well as staff of the Saint Lucia Fire Service.”
Saint Lucia National Youth Organisation also wished the Saint Lucians and informed that the new year would be celebrated as the Commonwealth “Year of the Youth”. While doing the same, it stated, “With 2022 behind us; we move forward. 2023 has been declared by the Commonwealth ‘Year of the Youth’, and as such, YOUth will continue to be on the fore of the SLNYC’s agenda.”
It furthermore stated, “The National Executive is tasked with the execution of its mandate established by the General Assembly: Revamping and Rebranding the SLNYC; Sustainability, Inclusivity, and Safety (SIS); Constitution Review; Building Dynamic and Consistent Sporting Programs and Strengthening District Youth and Sports Councils.”
It also shared detailed information about the program and stated, “To receive updates on programs and partnerships, please click the link in our bio, JOIN THE NETWORK and help us in the continuity of delivering quality representation to ALL youth in Saint Lucia and the diaspora.
