Premier Mark Brantley to host Sports Day, encouraging youth towards sports

Nevis: Premier Mark Brantley is all set to host Sports Day at the St James Primary School. It is to be noted that the sports day has been scheduled to take place on 5th March 2024. 

The sports day will be conducted at St James Primary School Ground under the patronage of Theron Bussue and Shaniqua Williams. The event will begin at 12:30 pm. It will be a competition between three houses, namely Gold, Red and Green House where the participants representing each house will compete against each other. 

The individual who is interested in attending the sports event will have to pay certain amounts, 

For Children: They have to pay the fee amount of $3. 

For Adults: They have to pay the fee amount of $5. 

Notably, donations will be accepted at the gate and an assortment of goodies and refreshments will be sold at this event. 

Moreover, the management team of St James Primary School also extended gratitude towards Premier Mark Brantley and said “It is a great honour to have the support of the community for the event. It would also increase the motivation of the students.”

The Sports events are a great opportunity for the youth to showcase their talent, skills, abilities and techniques. These events also play a crucial role in building sportsmanship and promoting unity. 

Such events also enhance various good qualities among sportspersons like leadership, commitment, teamwork, discipline, dedication and a passion for their sports. 

Furthermore, Nevis Island will also be hosting the Ginseng Up Classic, a high school track event on 25th February 2024. The event will take place at Nevis Athletic Stadium at 12:30 pm. The fees for attending this event include, Adults have to pay the amount of $25, Children of age 12 and under will have to pay the fee amount of $10. 

Also, to make the usage of inside parking, people have to pay the amount of $40 (with a driver).
