PM Terrance Drew congratulates 12 remarkable women awardees for outstanding contributions
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulations to all the twelve women who were recognized for their excellent services in their respective fields.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulations to all the twelve women who were recognized for their excellent services in their respective fields.
The awardees were acknowledged at the Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs Annual Award Ceremony organised at the Royal St Kitts Hotel. The women were awarded for their unwavering commitment and dedication towards promoting their nation and enhancing development.
The award ceremony was conducted on the occasion of International Women’s Day i.e. 8th March, 2024. This year the day was celebrated under the theme, “Invest in women: Accelerate Progress. ”
PM Terrance Drew truly believes in encouraging the women of his country by creating several opportunities for them to develop their talent and pathways towards the advancement of St Kitts and Nevis.
The women who were recognised for their services included,
- Juliette Caines – Women in the Service Industry
- Keimon Archibald-Lake – Early Childhood
- Marissa Hobson-Newman – Law and Enforcement
- Joycelyn Patricia Farrell – Charity and Volunteerism
- Glenda Warner-Bassue – Communication/Entertainment
- Brenda Clarke – Women in Small Business
Along with that, special awards were also presented to the women who have contributed immensely to leading the nation towards development and shaping the country as a whole.
The women who were presented special awards include, Ethel Bowen was bestowed with the Empowerment Award, Ambassador Rosalyn Hazelle was acknowledged by giving her the Legacy Award and Shorna Maynard was given the Prime Minister’s Award.
Moreover, three outstanding women were also recognized with the 2024 Pioneering Women Awards. The women who were awarded include, Alexa Douglas for Pioneer in Land Surveying, Michelle ‘Sister Sensia’ Stokes was given the Pioneer in Deejaying/Music & Entertainment and Cynthia Maynard was awarded Pioneer in Correctional Services at Her Majesty’s Prison.
PM Terrance Drew took to his official Facebook account and extended congratulations and expressed gratitude to all the ladies for their commitment and progress they have excelled by working dedicatedly towards excellence and for transforming the nation for the betterment and positive growth.
“To these remarkable women, I offer my heartfelt congratulations and deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment to progress and excellence. You are the driving force behind the positive transformation of our society,” mentioned PM Terrance Drew.
PM Drew asked all the residents of the nation to empower every woman and build a future where every woman’s potential knows no bounds.
“As Prime Minister, I am inspired by your resilience, passion, and dedication. Let us continue to champion equality, empower one another, and build a future where every woman’s potential knows no bounds,” noted PM Drew.
