PM Pierre shares update on meeting with Dr Cato Laurencin in St Lucia
PM Philip J Pierre held a discussion with Dr Cato Laurencin, an independent honour recipient of an annual event named Investiture Ceremony, on March 18.

St Lucia: Prime Minister Philip J Pierre held a discussion with Dr Cato Laurencin, who is an independent honour recipient of an annual event named Investiture Ceremony, on March 18, 2022 (Friday).
During this meeting, Dr Laurencin shared his experiences, achievements as well as the knowledge that would benefit the residents of the country.
He further recalled page 29 of the Saint Lucia Labour Party, which states that the St Lucian government will invite the highly skilled individuals of the region back to the country to share their experience, which would help to motivate as well as inspire the youth.
Prime Minister Pierre was quoted as, “As stated on page 29 of the Saint Lucia Labour Party manifesto, we will “Invite highly skilled and distinguished Saint Lucians in the Diaspora back home to share their knowledge, achievements and experiences, as part of an annual event, to inspire and motivate our young”.”
PM further expressed pride to present Dr Laurencin as the winner of the Independence 43. The meeting between Prime Minister and award-recipient discussed the utilisation of great resources, such as human resources. The meeting also focused on the solutions which would promote sustainable development in the country.
“Bestowing this Independence 43 honour to Dr Cato Laurencin signals this intent; to utilise our greatest resource, our human resource, to find solutions for the sustainable development of our country,” PM Pierre further notified.
He further extended congratulations to Dr Laurencin and optimised to look forward to the Investiture Ceremony, which would be celebrated on March 20, 2022 (Sunday). He further informed that the ceremony would be aired on NTN.
“Congratulations once again to Dr Laurencin, and I look forward to celebrating with all the other awardees at the Investiture Ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, March 20. The event will be aired live on NTN,” Prime Minister was quoted as.
