PM Drew congratulates Takyla Hart Johnson for becoming Miss Caribbean Talented Teen

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew congratulated Queen Takyla Hart Johnson on being crowned as the 41st Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen.

PM Drew stated that her victory has filled the nation’s heart with immense pride. While congratulating her, he said “Wishing you an incredible reign ahead- we know you’ll continue to elevate your country with grace and heart.”

The outstanding achievements of the other remarkable contestants were also appreciated by PM Drew. He extended his wishes to the first runner-up, Shiloh Williams, Ms. Dutch St. Maarten and the second runner-up, Akilah Frederick, Ms. Guyana.

PM Drew added that each participant showcased their talent and excellence while representing their respective nations. It was also mentioned by PM Drew that the dedication and skills of all the contestants were truly commendable. All the participants embodied an essence of brilliance and noise and I congratulated them for their magnificent performance in the pageant.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Dr Geoffrey Hanley also extended his wishes to the newly crowned 41st Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant.

Minister Hanley stated that “when the competition dust settled, Ms St Kitts and Nevis’s Queen Takyla Hart-Johnson emerged as the winner.”

It is to be noted Dr Hanley, expressing about the pageant said “As a pageant lover and youth arts advocate, I’m pleased to see young ladies representing their nations so well.”

Further, the Minister congratulated all the participants and organizers of the stellar pageant. He also extended his best wishes for the remaining holiday season and the New Year.

Moreover, a special dinner was also hosted for all the contestants of the pageant. The event was hosted by Dr Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr Joyelle Clarke, the Minister of Sustainable Development.

Minister Douglas welcomed all the participants and spoke about the challenges faced by the nation during Covid 19 pandemic. He appreciated the spirit and resilience of the organizers of the event and stated that the return of the pageant after three years is a testament to the strength and perseverance that define their community.

Furthermore, The Haynes Smith Talented Teen was started over 40 years ago and now it is one of the most coveted regional crowns in Pageant.
