PM Browne’s letter to PM Modi will make you pray for India

Antigua and Barbuda: The Prime-Minister of Antigua & Barbuda– Gaston Browne wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India- Narendra Modi, acknowledging the generous donation of COVID-19 vaccines to the Caribbean Community and demonstrated solidarity with the current situation of India.
As we all know, India is experiencing a second wave of COVID-19 mutant, and it is adverse than ever. On a regular basis, India is experiencing more than 300,000 plus cases which are gigantic.
In the letter of PM Browne, he mentioned, “India provided a generous donation of 500,000 COVID-19 vaccine shots of Oxford Astra Zeneca to the CARICOM community of the Caribbean region. Antigua and Barbuda got 40,000 shots of the vaccine.”
“Antigua and Barbuda benefitted through this and compassionate act of your nation (India), and our civilians received 40,000 shots of vaccine,” he added.
PM Browne stands in solidarity with India, and he added, “It is now common knowledge that India is beset with an outbreak of COVID-19 that has inflicted severe harm on its cities and communities, and has paralyzed public transportation and the healthcare system, including so many hospitals that are overwhelmed.”
PM Browne expressed his heart out, “My heart feels your (India’s) pain, Prime Minister, and we can only imagine the mounting challenge which the circumstances now pose for your administration and people. We pray for India’s recovery and stand in solidarity with India at this crucial time.”
Prime Minister of Dominica also stands with the Republic of India. India assisted the Caribbean region by providing COVID-19 vaccines under Vaccine Maitri Programme.
It is not about politics anymore but actually a concern towards that country which initiated a significant step to safeguard the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
Earlier in March, Antigua had got around 22,000 shots of vaccine from India. Recently, the nation received 40,000 jabs of the vaccine. Just because of these vaccines, Antigua and Barbuda have vaccinated more than 30 thousand people in the country.
