Belize: As we all know that Prime Minister Johnny Briceno is going on vacation, and in his absence Hon. Cordel Hyde will act as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economic Development.
UDP Belize gave this information that The Prime Minister of Belize Johnny Briceno implicated Cabinet that he would be flying on personal leave from January 12 to 17, 2021. During his absence, Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Cordel Hyde will act as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economic Development.
According to the official post of Facebook(UDP Belize), the mass termination day states that Johnny Briceno leaves the nation for an expensive vacation at the same time his political operatives execute mass termination in the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Corozal Freezing, and other departments on George Price Day.
We have received reports that almost the entire Terminal Management Unit of Belize City and Orange Walk received termination letters over the last two days. Fitting exercise in honor of Rt. Hon. George C. Price.
UDP Belize affirmed, “Please be advised that your service as terminus administrator, Corozal terminal management unit is no longer demanded and is therefore being dismissed as of 16 th January 2021. Your employment with the government of Belize started with effect from October 3, 2012. Therefore, your service period is eight (08) years and three (03) months. You are entitled to eight(08) weeks notice pay and payment instead of seven(07) days vacation leave due on January 15, 2021. This is following government workers regulations 24(1) and section 37(1) and (2) of labor laws, chapter 297 of the laws of Belize corrected edition 2002-2003 as amended by sanctioned instrument no.3 of 2011.”
Mitchel Chavez commented, “PM Johhny, you promise job creation, but you disappointed me. You take the easy way, fire one, and hire another that anybody can do, but I was expecting your job to come with a different thing show the capacity to create jobs !! I the end of the day, you are telling the people that the right way it sounds contradictive you end doing exactly what the UDP did.”
