US military to sack officers who refuses to get vaccinated

The United States military announced to sack the officers who did not comply with the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination guideline. The announcement was made by the American army on Wednesday.

As per the sources, at least 3,000 soldiers might be terminated out of the total 482,000 active-duty personnel. This is not for the first time; the United States army has already removed six high-rank military officers, which includes two battalion commanders, as they refused to get themselves immunised against the deadliest viral disease.

Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth, in a statement, asserted, “Unvaccinated Soldiers present risk to the force and jeopardised readiness. We will begin involuntary split proceedings for Soldiers who refuse the COVID-19 vaccine order and are not pending a final decision on an exemption.”

Reprimands to around 3,073 soldiers and officers of the United States army has already been sent. In addition, the previous year, in mid-October, the US Navy also warned that the officers who would refuse to get their required jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine would be ousted from their service. So far, around 40 members of the US Navy and at least 300 Marine Corps officers have been expelled.

The US Navy stated that they could not take a risk, as if even one individual will contract the COVID-19 virus, the chances of other people on the ship or submarine at sea increases.

According to the data, about 97 percent of the officers who are active at their duty have been partially inoculated by taking at least one jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, overall at least 64.1% of the total population of the United States is fully vaccinated by taking the required number of the COVID-19 vaccine jabs. On the other hand, around 76% of the total population is partially inoculated by receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
