TTPS held two, two guns and ammunition seized during anti-crime exercises
Two male suspects were arrested, a firearm and a quantity of ammunition seized and a vehicle that was reported stolen recovered, following a report of a robbery with an aggravation that occurred in the Central Division last night.

Trinidad and Tobago: Two male suspects were arrested, a firearm and a quantity of ammunition seized and a vehicle that was reported stolen recovered, following a report of a robbery with an aggravation that occurred in the Central Division last night.
As per the preliminary information by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, a male victim reported to police that after arriving at his Curepe home around 10:15 pm, on March 24, 2022 (Thursday), he was approached by two men, one armed with a gun. The assailants then proceeded to rob the victim of a number of valuables and the keys to his Toyota Hilux motor vehicle. The men then made their escape in the vehicle.
Officers responding to the report intercepted the vehicle with the two suspects along the Lady Young Road in Morvant district hours after. The men were searched, and one of them was found to be in possession of a Glock-17 pistol loaded with a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition.
The suspects, a 28-year-old of St James and a 19-year-old of Port of Spain, were arrested in connection with the robbery with aggravation incident and the find.
Investigations are ongoing.
Another incident was suspected by TTPS on the same day, officers of the North-Eastern Division Task Force conducted an anti-crime exercise between 4 pm and 9 pm, during which they proceeded to the Barataria district.
There, they conducted a search of an area where they found one pistol loaded with a magazine containing one round of ammunition. A black ski mask and a quantity of marijuana were also found during the exercise.
In the matter, investigations are ongoing.
