TTMS announced a discontinuation of the Hazardous Seas alert, which was initially placed in a ‘Green’ level in T&T.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services (TTMS) announced a discontinuation of the Hazardous Seas alert, which was initially placed in a ‘Green’ level. The officials reported a decrease in the choppy sea conditions and destructive waves.

There are no expectations of the significant impact on the coastal activities. The Met services expressed that they are working continuously to monitor sea-related activities.

“As always, all marine interests should continue to monitor sea conditions when engaging in any sea-related activities”, said T&T Met Service.

The Northern and Eastern coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago were on a high alert due to bad marine conditions. The sea-bathers and mariners were strictly prohibited to dive into the water. In case of urgency, they were asked to use lifeguards before getting into the seas.

According to T&T Meteorological Services, the people of the country may experience hot and sunny weather. There are some chances of the breezy conditions despite the odd brief showers. The night is expected to be mostly fair and clear.

The Leeward is expected to remain mostly fair and partly cloudy, with isolated showers in a few areas.

The seas are forecasted to remain slight to moderate with waves in open waters could range between 1.0m to 1.5m and there is an expectation that it could span by less than 1.0m in the sheltered or covered areas.
