Weather Update, December 19, 2023: Trinidad, Tobago and The Leeward Islands may experience sunny and hazy weather conditions, which are expected to be 30 degrees Celsius with a chance of a few afternoon showers.
Notably, the night will be fair but hazy. There will be a moderate concentration of Saharan dust present in the nearby areas.
As per the reports of Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service, all the persons who are susceptible to these changes in air quality are advised to take the necessary precautions.
The Windward Islands
The Windward Islands are expected to witness partly cloudy and hazy weather with periods of showers or rain. Notably, there are a few chances of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
Marine Forecast
Seas are expected to remain moderate throughout the day, while the waves in the open waters could range between 1.5 m to 2.0 m and reach up to 2.5 m in the Leeward.
Moreover, in the sheltered areas, waves are forecasted below 1.0 m.
