Trinidad and Tobago: Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Rowley, visited the National Quarries Company Limited’s Limestone Division in Blanchisseuse on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of Prime Minister Stuart Young and Minister of Housing and Urban Development Camille Robinson-Regis accompanied the Prime Minister on Tuesday’s visit.
The National Quarries has been providing services since 1979, and they have contributed to the infrastructural development of the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago as a key player in the construction industry. As the Nation’s leading aggregate producer, the firm continues its customer-driven focus, meeting the diverse needs of an expanding economy and a people committed to progress.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, and Minister in the Office of Prime Minister Stuart Young visited the Controlled Source Electromagnetic Survey vessel docked in Chaguaramas.
This vessel is contracted by the independent energy company Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy commenced its Controlled Source Electromagnetic (CSEM) survey in October 2022.
The survey is expected to provide valuable information about their Calypso Project. Calypso sits within the Deepwater Block 23(a) and TTDAA 14 leased block offshore Trinidad and Tobago, where hydrocarbons have been discovered. It is the country’s first major discovery in this location.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of Prime Minister Stuart Young accompanied the Prime Minister on tour.
