Tourism Trinidad welcomes Oceania Cruises MS Insignia as cruise tourism begins
The Cruise Tourism in the twin-island country Trinidad and Tobago has been commenced from November 21, 2022 and will be ending on April 2023.

Trinidad and Tobago: The Cruise Tourism in the twin-island country Trinidad and Tobago has been commenced from November 21, 2022 and will be ending on April 2023.
This season witnessed arrival of first ever cruise Oceania Cruises MS Insignia. Tourism Trinidad welcomed the Oceania Cruises MS Insignia guests with an immersive and authentic experience that celebrated the vibrant and diverse spirit of Trinidad through enticing cuisine and exhilarating entertainment; bringing the destination to life.
Before the beginning of the season, the security forces ensured the safety and security of the visitors.
The Tourism Trinidad said, “The organisation in tandem with the TTPS and Port Security are working to ensure that visitors are safe for the upcoming Cruise Ship season. Thousands of visitors will be coming to our shores via hundreds of Cruise Ship stops between Monday 21st November 2022 and April 2023.”
Tourism Trinidad held a briefing with the TTPS on Friday 18th and there they said that they, together with Port Police, are working overtime to ensure all aspects of the passenger experience are delivered with the utmost safety and security planning.
In addition to Visitor Ambassadors who will be strategically located throughout Port of Spain’s downtown area to offer destination information and guidance while traversing the capital city, the TTPS has pledged its support with its various initiatives. Activities such as, mobile patrols, foot patrol along major street corners, police presence at traffic light crossings and visible mounted police. This will be further supported with timely dissemination of tour and cruise ship information to the various Police Stations and Posts.
Tourism Trinidad will be welcoming the first ship on Monday 21st with an official ceremony on Tuesday 22nd November.
