St Vincent and the Grenadines: A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death on Wednesday, 14th February 2024 in Campden Park of the nation. It is to be noted that the officials have arrested one man in connection to this incident.

As per the details shared by the authorities, the victim has been identified as Carona Jennings and her murder marks the 7th homicide of the year.

Upon receiving the information, the officers of the Questelles Police Station responded to the matter and they immediately reached the crime spot. During the process of investigation, they discovered a female who was lying in an unresponsive manner with stab wounds over her body.

Subsequently, the woman was taken to the hospital where she was examined thoroughly by the doctors and was pronounced dead.

As per the reports, a post-mortem examination will also be conducted to find out the real cause of death. Along with that, the authorities have requested the citizens of the nation to help the police regarding the incident that took place on Wednesday.

The officers asked the individuals to provide them with the information if they had any, regarding the incident. For the same, they have also shared their contact details. The authorities have also promised to not reveal or disclose any details or identity of the informant, ensuring their security and their safety.

Various residents of the community took to their social media accounts and shared their views on the matter and extended condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.

One person with a Facebook account Enid Craigg- Young commented “So sad condolences to her children, family and friends RIP, hope that person who killed that LADY go JAIL for life .”

Another person wrote “It is so disheartening, the one who did this should be severely punished.”
