St Lucia: As of February 11, 2022, Friday, the nation reported 59 new cases of COVID-19, according to the statics shared by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs. The samples were collected between February 7 and February 8; of total samples, around 18.19 percent have tested positive for the virus.
Around 312 samples were collected on the previous day; of these, 230 were from the Ezra Long Laboratory, remaining 82 were from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited.
Since the pandemic began, the nation has reported around 21,932 COVID-19 cases.
According to the official data, around 192 people have been recovered from the virus and were discharged.
To date, the number of active cases in the country is 1,499.
There are around 36 patients admitted to the hospital because of the virus; of these, no one is seeking treatment in intensive care.
Till now, the number of deaths reported in the nation is around 347, of which 264 are due to COVID, and 83 are COVID-related. However, the ministry of health has reported one new COVID-19 death.
In St Lucia, as many as 51,712 people have been fully vaccinated, and around 5,854 are partially vaccinated. More than 6,516 people have received the booster shot.
In the nation, 1.09 lakh doses have been administrated in St Lucia.
For now, the island country has been giving three vaccines against COVID-19, BioNTech, Pfizer vaccine; Johnson & Johnson vaccine; and Oxford, AstraZeneca vaccine. As of February 11, the number of people who received 1st Dose AstraZeneca Vaccination is 37,705, and 2nd Dose Vaccination is 34,491. Whereas, 1st Dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccination is administrated by 19,662, and 17,022 people have administrated 2nd dose.
