St Lucia: Only fully vaccinated individuals to be allowed for in-dine services in ‘Restaurants’

St Lucia: New COVID-19 health protocols has been announced for St Lucia by the Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs Minister – Moses Jn Baptiste, which will be in effect from 1 October till 15 October. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed for in-dine services, as per new amendments. 

In regards to business operations, the businesses will stop operations on Friday the 1st day of October 2021 at 7 pm to Saturday the 2nd day of October 2021 at 4 am. On 2nd day of October 2021, businesses will close from 7 pm to Tuesday the 5th day of October 2021 at 4 am. The curfew or no movement days would extend from – Saturday 2 October from 7 pm, all day – Sunday, all day Monday up to – Tuesday 5 October at 4 am.   

While from 5 – 8 October 2021, the businesses will only be allowed to operate till 5 pm and will close from 6 pm to 4 am every day. On Saturday that is 9 October 2021, the businesses have to close their operations from 3 pm to Monday the 11th day of October 2021. 

From 11 – 15 October 2021, businesses will close from 6 pm to 4 am each day. 

COVID-19 protocols amendments in the restaurants and food establishments – 

Restaurants and the other food establishments that have been approved by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism will provide a dine-in service to the individuals who are fully vaccinated.  

While the sale and disposal of intoxicating liquor are suspended except for – The sale & manufacture of hand sanitisers.

-The manufacture is for sale outside of Saint Lucia. 

-The sale and disposal by a supermarket, gas station or wholesaler, if the supermarket, gas station or wholesaler does not allow an individual to consume the intoxicating liquor on the licensed premises.  

Amendments in Recreational Activities – 

Recreational activities such as – boat rides and water skiing at a certified accommodation provider are suspended during the curfew hours are suspended on Sunday 3 October 2021, Monday the 4 October 2021 and Sunday the 10 October 2021.

Amendments in Faith-based organizations –

The Faith-based organizations may continue to hold daily or regular religious ceremonies only if the physical distancing protocols are followed by everybody. 

The special religious rites, including – baptisms, weddings and funerals, can be conducted by following the COVID-19 protocols with no more than 50 individuals in attendance.
