St Lucia: The health ministry has announced new protocols which would operate from March 5, 2022, to April 1, 2022.
According to the instructions by the health ministry of St Lucia, the person with the approval of the Chief Medical Officer may host as well as attend an event or activity. “A person, with the approval of the Chief Medical Officer, may host or attend a social event or recreational activity that consists of more than seventy-five (75) fully vaccinated persons but not more than once hundred and fifty (150) person,” the health ministry mentioned.
It added, “A person may host or attend a social event or recreational activity that consists of not more than seventy-five (75).”
The one interested in hosting any event must invite “Persons of his or her immediate family at his or her residence and fully vaccinated persons at his or her residence”.
The government has ordered to reduce the number of passengers on public transport. As per the newly announced protocols, “A person shall not operate on a road a public omnibus that is loaded with more than three (3) passengers in each row.”
The government has further stated that all the measures would remain the same and will not witness any of the change.
As of March 6, 2022, according to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly affairs, the country reported nine (9) new cases of COVID-19.
As per the official statics, the total positive percentage makes up to 6.12 percent of all samples processed on that date.
The total number of confirmed cases diagnosed in the country since the pandemic has begun is around 22,788.
The total patients recovered from the deadly virus reported in the country are 33. St Lucia has reported around 82 active cases to date.
