St Kitts and Nevis has reported 6 new imported cases in past 14 days

1230 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in St Kitts and Nevis and 546 active cases out of which 33 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hrs. No new death has been registered on the island.
St Kitts and Nevis has reported 6 new imported cases in past 14 days. Medical teams have tested 32,519 persons for COVID-19, out of which 1,230 positive results have been reported, and 31,289 reports have resulted in negative, but still 5 tests are pending.
After the test, 589 people are quarantined at their residence, whereas 405 have been quarantined in the facility. 502 people are in isolation. 17,688 have been released from the quarantine. 679 people have recovered.
The health ministry also released the recommendation to prevent the spread of The Novel Corona Virus, in which it says that the virus starts from your hand, so please wash the hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based solution.
Always Cover your nose and mouth with a bent elbow or tissue when you sneeze or cough. Dispose of tissue immediately and wash your hand.
Avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose or mouth, to prevent the virus from entering the body.
In terms of social interaction, take a step back and stay at least one meter or 6 feet from others.
If the person feels unwell, stay home. Please follow all instructions provided by your local health authorities.
On 24 March 2020, a 21-year-old male and a 57year old female who had entered the federation from New York City displayed the first two confirmed cases of COVID-19. Both are inhabitants of St Kitts and Nevis.
On 28 March 2020, St Kitts and Nevis reported 5 further cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 7.
PM Timothy Harris had secured an additional 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines. These vaccines had an expiration date of August 31, 2021. He was happy to report that these additional doses are already in our possession.
