St Kitts and Nevis PM Terrance Drew meets released workers, assures payment shortly

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew, has recently announced that the workers who were released from their duties due to not having the COVID-19 vaccine will get their payments shortly. Dr Drew also highlighted that under his surveillance, many workers have received their compensation, and others will have theirs soon.

He announced that he had a conversation with the Union representing the workers.

While briefing about the processing, PM Dr Terrance Drew noted, “The process has begun for severance payments for those workers who were released from their duties for not taking the COVID-19 vaccine and did not receive severance payments.”

“I met with the Union that represented most of the workers who submitted their complaints, along with several of the workers themselves, to update them on the progress. Several have already received compensation, and the process is ongoing,” he added.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Drew stated that his government was fulfilling its commitment before obtaining the office of the Prime Minister. “This is a commitment we made prior to obtaining office, and it is my mission to fulfil that promise,” the post by PM Drew read.

The general public lauded Dr Drew for keeping this promise and providing the payments to the workers.

“Thank you for keeping that Big time promise in Jesus’ powers each day, no matter if it’s Big or small, for God will keep us safe each day in his will,” said one. While another stated, “Wonderful news for those who were so sadly affected…keep on looking after your people Mr PM…”
