St Kitts and Nevis honours National Heroes, ahead of 41st Independence Day celebration
As St Kitts and Nevis is all set to celebrate 41 years of Independence, they have recognized the reason for their freedom by displaying the spirit of the bravery of all those fighters who fought with their lives in line, leading the island nation to a better life free from slavery.

St Kitts and Nevis is preparing to celebrate 41 years of Independence this month. But before the celebrations, the nation has honoured the brave spirits of all those fighters who sacrificed their lives for freedom, leading the island nation to a better life, free from slavery.
National artistic icon Vaughn Anslyn extraordinaire has set the stage for a remarkable Independence 41 with his decoration of the entrance to Headquarters. The headquarters which is on Church Street, Basseterre, Saint Kitts is nicely decorated with portraits of National Heroes and the flag of the country.
While sharing the glimpses of those portraits, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew stated that as they are entering the month of Independence, it is a great opportunity for all the countrymen to reflect and appreciate the dear land of beauty.
He stated that these displays at the Government Headquarters is a way of recalling all those national heroes who have contributed significantly to the development of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
PM Terrance Drew stated that his government is committed to acknowledging and celebrating the invaluable contributions of the National Heroes, who courageously and selflessly laid the foundation for the nation’s independence.
While emphasising the stunning pieces of art created by Vaughn Anslyn, PM Terrance Drew noted that these images is a testament to the unwavering dedication and remarkable skills and creativity of the artist. He added that these beautiful portraits have made a beautiful addition to the surroundings of the Government Headquarters.
This year, the Independence Day will be celebrated under a theme “Together, a People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41.” The Prime Minister stated that this theme shed light on the essence of the national identity.
He added that this theme reflects on to celebrate the collective achievements reflect the collective achievements of the countrymen and efforts undertaken by the administration to continue to building a future which is filled with hope and togetherness for all the citizens of the country.
He added that as they are celebrating the Independence month, the entire nation is all set for a month which is filled with enthusiasm, pride and a commitment to a build a stronger and united future.
Moreover, during the celebration of 41 years of Independence, several activities will be conducted in order to celebrate its rich heritage, vibrant culture and collective achievements. And, for the same, every citizen has been asked to wear red, green, yellow, white and black on designated days, to the National Heroes Day celebrations in order to celebrate the most significant day of the country.
