Saint Lucia: SRDF is all set to host “SRDF Celebrates the Arts”
The Soufriere Regional Development foundation(SRDF) has announced an event “SRDF Celebrates the Arts” which will be held on January 28, 2024 at the Soufriere Primary School Grounds, commencing from 4 pm. And, this event has been introduced as a part of Nobel Laureate Festival activities.

Saint Lucia: The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) has announced an event, “SRDF Celebrates the Arts” which will be held on January 28, 2024 at the Soufriere Primary School Grounds, commencing from 4 pm. And, this event has been introduced as a part of Nobel Laureate Festival activities.
The event aims to pay tribute to the Nobel Laureates of Saint Lucia, Sir Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Walcott. The tribute will include several activities that showcase the bravery of youth in the literary and performing arts.
In the event, there will be six schools within Soufriere who will be participating and bringing up the performances. All the performances as its part will reflect the richness of cultural heritage and influence of both the personalities, Sir Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Walcott.
As it is mentioned that six schools from Soufriere will be part of the event, the names to the schools are as follows:
- Soufriere Infant School
- Soufriere Primary School
- Les Etangs Combined School
- Fond St Jacques Primary School
- Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School
- Bouton Primary School
Probing ahead, SRDF Celebrates the Arts is going to be held with collaborative support from the National Nobel Laureate Committee. And, the collaboration reflects the significance of fostering educational, cultural, and youth development initiatives in the region.
Lovely St Aime- Joseph, Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager at the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation- expressed her belief that fostering artistic expression is crucial for the holistic development of the community.
“SRDF Celebrates the Arts is not just a tribute to our Nobel Laureates but also a platform to empower and inspire the next generation,” the manager said.
Also, as the Nobel Laureates Festival is being celebrated in the country, the Traveling Exhibition 2024 is also going to Castries City Hall. This started on January 25 and will last until February 2, 2024.
